    Dear DJ,

this is a wonderful autumn image, the colours reflect on life, but also on transitoriness of anything that is alive. I like the atmosphere which seems entirely affirmative, strong and hopeful.

As to technique: the sharpness patterns are wonderfully transient. For me, they very much reflect the topic of the photograph - no matter if entirely intended or not. The EXIFs don't show the aperture, I guess, it's pretty open. The bokeh is fine - allow me to say: It seems that the German Democratic Republic, if otherwise an exploiting business, was good for one thing: Producing such nice lenses as this Flektogon.

    Cheers, Martin
P.S. That was a wonderful comment of yours on that one picture of mine portraying New Yorkers, what you said was pretty much what I had intended to be doing. So thanks.

      Dear Martin,

Thanks for your literary view on my image. It makes myself look from a different angle to it. Maybe thatthe good thing about photos. Everybody sees, more or less, it's own (view on the) world in it.

The aperture was wide open on 2.4. It was my first hours out with this lens. I bought it for two reasons that combine very well. First the bokeh and second (actually first) the min focus distance of 19cm. You can get subjects of this size a bit bigger in the composition, without cropping. The sharpness is pretty good as well.

      Cheers,
      DJ
